Hi

I would like to be able to obtain some key blanks with the VW logo in them for my Beetle,

Is there anywhere in Australia I can order these from?

I am not sure what type of key I have, or what blank I need,

this is a non original key, with the only number on it of V 06

Being a European Beetle I'm not sure then if my key would be the same as an 1968+ Oz Beetle

I would be happy if I can just get a blank key, I don't need the exact key as I can take it to a locksmith and have them cut it.

Hiya Des,

It's not Oz by a longshot b ut there are a couple of very capable locksmiths (they both get great reviews) here in the States that specialize in VW keys and locks. I cannot imagine that the shipping on a couple of keys would be that expensive.

Just a thought if you come up dry looking for a key source in Oz.

Got ours off Ebay for about $20

Just had a look though and can't find any...maybe some will appear soon, as when we bought ours there were loads listed.
