This is the link to her blog which she trys to keep as updated as possible.

It would be great to give her some suport when she arrives here in donations/repairs/beer etc etc..

nice to see the effort some poeple will put in for others and the way total strangers have been assisting her on there trip..

Last time i spoke with her the planed trip here starts in Darwin, down through Alice springs then over to the west coast and then along the Ocean road (taking in all major and some not so major citys)and up to Brissy where the trip was planed to end, but there was last minute talk of extending it to take them upto Cairns.

I am not sure of the plans for the Baja when she is finished, i would guess it will stay here. She brought it in America and shipped it to the uk.

for those who have been following fiona she has hit major problems with in china and it has all but ended her attempt to go from the Uk to Australia in a Baja.

she has covered over 20 thousand mile in her baja and if she could she would cover another 20 thousand more but its not to be.

She will still be coming over here for a short while but with no car.

She is hoping that people in Brisbane and Melbourne with Bajas/buggies can come to her aid and offer her a seat for a short while. Read her blog and u'll see what an amazing job she has done and through no fault of her own is unable to bring her baja here for the last leg of the trip..

Lets show her what the Australian VW scene is all about and give her a ride....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What has prevented her bringing the car over here? All the paperwork bullshit that's she's been running into? That's really unfortunate.

yep paperwork stoped her!!! all down to a very very bad tour guide in china. they totaly stuffed her papers and its casues massive delays. She has quite simply run out of time becasue of it. Her work can't give her anymore time off( they have been very good in the first place) so she will miss the boat to get the perfectly running baja over here hence she will come but without her car. The cars still going fantasticly thats not the problem.

Its a total bummer to have to leave "pedro" behind but its just the way it is..
