P plate son hit a Concrete Pedestrian Island in elder son's Golf. Bent control arm, cv, shaft and rim..
All good from the workshop (VW Village) except for the rim.. I need an alloy asap to get son back on road and get my r36 back (needs car for work)

Does anyone know of a wrecker of Golf's in the Sydney area.. I'm on the east side so I guess I will need to travel.. I know of ASV in (I think Villawood) but does anyone know of others or where I might be able to select a new rim to suit.. Its the stock rim like this one.. Tks Rob

I just bought a set of those from ebay... $400 for the full set with good tyres. They come up a bit. I realise you only need one though.
I have a spare steel one if you want/need it.

I have four steel wheels, one with a useable tyre. They came of my VW Caddy when I replaced them with Golf alloys. I have listed them individually on ebay for $1 but if you want/need one (for free), let me know and I'll take one off.

Hutcho, Barry.. Thanks for the offer and advice..
I bought 4, 9 spoke alloys (the correct type for the golf), off ebay today for 80$.. Bloody cheap but unfortunately when I collected them, they have been sprayed with a silver metallic paint.. So I'd need to swap the lot over if I was going to sue them.. So I'm grabbing a single alloy (with rubber) off Brookvale Spares for $220.. Then I'll clean up the 4 I bought and maybe use them on a caddy or keep as spares..

Oh the joys of having two sons on red "P"s..
