You would probably need to get a quote from a courier, i can give you the basic dimensions and a weight for the seats tonight.

I bought some mesh Recaro head rests on Ebay a few months ago, it looks like the seats still have the location points for them.
Headrest were an ADR item from 1972 on. A person I know with a 1974 bug imported from the UK has had it registered for years without any headrest. It all depends on how sharp the inspector is.
If the seats are broken down, as in backrest unbolted they could maybe be sent by Australia Post, usually much cheaper than a courier.

do you know if these would fit in a 69 type 3? are the runners similar or can be bolted to them i assume. can you also give me the height of the seat back from the base to the headrest base.

APPROX SEAT DIMENSIONS
800mm(H) X 600mm(W) X 550mm(D)
Not sure how the would go in your type 3 but im sure you could make something up for them them to go in just like i had done for my split.
