Welcome on board. Some supers have a flat dash. They are the 70-72 "S" beetles. Also known sometimes as 1302 beetles. They have a McPherson strut front end, IRS rear end and the spare wheel lays flat giving the bonnet a different shape to the earlier beetles. It is the "L" (or 1303 model) that have the curved screen. They were basically 73-74 models.

Good luck with the search.

Welcome mate!

I had a Beetle as a first car back in 1991, as did my wife in 1994....fast forward to 2009 and a move to Aus from the UK and my wife stupidly says "how about we get another Beetle?"

I seriously never thought i'd get so bloody hooked again!! Totally besotted!!

Enjoy it 🙂
