I am in need of a door handle assembly to suit a 1969 Bug. the broken one is a 'trigger type' one as opposed to a 'push button' one. The trigger lever snapped and now the door can only be opened from the inside unfortunately. I am also looking for a pair of inner door grab /closing handles? as the bug at the moment has no way of pulling the door closed unless the window is wound down. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Gazza

Door handles are interchangeable left and right 68-76 models

You should have arm rests on Your doors...
that's how you close the doors...??

early arm rests are screwed to the door trim...

later ones are screwed to the door...
so, later ones are probably easier to fit...
without taking the door trim off...
same as the early golfs...

also, You can get door closing handles that were made for early beetles these just are screwed to the metal on the doors above the trim... LEE

PS: How did you manage to break the outer door handle???
