Steering off center?

Hey guys, just a query here:

I drove the bug the other day and notices that my steering wheel (when wheels are going straight) seemed to be more off center than usual? It was always around 10 degree off due to the boss kit when put on, but it seems to have moved more (around 15 degree?) I can only tell due to the finger grips in the steering wheel and the way I rest my arm on the door when I drive.
Any ideas?

Cheers and Beers,
Ollie

I had the coupling go on my 64' and it changed wheel position but also made it feel very vague when driving (wandering). Check it, but I don't know if that will be it if it still driving ok. Probably give your front end a decent going over and have it wheel aligned if ok??

I haven't checked anything so far, the car is currently up at the mechanic at the moment getting some work done, but I'm strapped so I can't afford to get anything else checked right now. A wheel alignment might be the case?
If not, and it is the coupling joint, is there any chance of a no steering dilema?
(I'm honestly pretty useless when it comes to steering/suspension/brakes on a car)

Most couplings have pins that are supposed to keep it together but trust me you wont get to that point as it will not drive real well at all. A pretty easy fix once the tank is out anyway, but get your mechanic to check over that front end first.
