I am trying to install my tie rods, but I have not found any info regarding how to set it up from scratch.

I have installed my steering box locating it correctly with the bracket interlocking with the tabs on the front beam. I have then installed the pitman arm, this is easy as it can only go on the worm shaft in one position.

My best guess is to position the pitman arm so it's perpendicular to front beam, wind the ball joints on the tie rods full in, install the tie rods and then wind them out untill the wheels are facing forward. Is it as simple as this or am I missing something??

Any help would be appreciated or point me in the right direction to some info.

Wheels should face slightly inwards at the front(toe-in). I would start the threading of the tie rods at the same time, that way you know they both have the same amount of engaged thread

turn the steering box to work out how many turns lock to lock prob 3.5 so then turn it 1 3/4 turns so its centered

then set you wheels straight and parallel use tape measure fronty n back to align

then fit yr tie rods

then get a wheel alignment at the local tyre shop give it some toe in
I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true

Yep, as above. Centre steering box, fit tie rods to give equal thread engaged and 2mm toe in and if ball joint, set the camber eccentric with the notch facing fowards. The only other thing, on the initial fitment of the steering box, although the tabs are engaged, you can alter the angle of the box on the beam, this alters bump steer so if lowered, I raise the pitman arm to where the steering shaft enters the car towards the top of the hole in the body, a raised car towards the bottom, and stock ht, in the centre.
