im currently using a 009 and gt 40 coil. so im contemplating upgrading to msd dizzy, 6al and coil.
so what advantages and difference in engine feel will i get for that lots of extra cash layout. 🙂
it is going on a performance 2ltr type 1 with 10.2:1 comp....

this is just electronic ignition in general tho.
The 6al module should produce a stronger spark and below about 3000rpm multiple sparks. The distributor apart from being better quality in terms of bearings, cap layout etc can have the springs and weights easily swapped out to adjust the curve. And they look pretty which is why most people have them. Have a look into a megajolt kit from boost enginering.net, lets you get rid of dist completly and run programmable crank fire. Im getting basically the same kit to run with my efi setup, should be here in a few days.
