I dont think we were ever destined to keep this mitsubishi lancer of ours. Have had it about 8 years but in the process of making the 4th insurance claim. This one is a bit different though because the last 3 were attempted thefts.
Wife stopped at an intersection on Sunday and a twit in his uninsured 4wd ran into the back of her. He said he thought she had gone. Huh? How? Eyes closed? So its bullbar pushed the boot in, bent the hinges, the rear quarters dont look bent but the rear lights are pointing at wierd angles and nothing closes properly. Had a quote and they say maybe $1700 - 2000. A nervous wait as it is insured for market value only, and the book will say that a 13yr old lancer with 250,00kms is only worth 1700-2000. We dont have to pay excess, but will cost us some decent money to get another car if it is written off.
So many arseholes out there without insurance these days that its just downroight dangerous to only have bomb insurance for yourself. Lucky we have full insurance even though the car isnt really worth it or would be screwed completely.
Almost feel sorry for Vero, reckon they have paid out about 8 grand for repairs to this thing in 8 years.
If only I could find a fwit in a 4wd to slam the falcon I would be cheering. POS.
