Hi,

I am missing one of the blanking plates on the dash fascia of my L that cover the spare switch holes to the left of the steering column.

I need either a replacement blanking plate or a switch that will fill the same hole that I can use for foglights or similar later. It's only a small thing, but I'm sick of looking at the blank hole! 😬

Cheers,

Pretty sure I have one back in Port Macquarie. I can get it on the weekend and post it if you want it. PM me if you are interested. Someone closer may have one they can get to you quicker though.

Thanks Jeff, it's not urgent.

You don't happen to have a spare centre dash vent for above the radio too? Mine partially busted this morning, but it's no big deal.

If you have no luck I've got both

the center vent is a PITA to get out though without the dash removed

Hi

I bought some switches from the local parts shop to fill in the blanks, also Golf Mk1 switches fit as well.

I use one of them to turn the radio on & off.

You can see them in the photo below.

Brett,

Will check on the blanking plate on the weekend. I MAY have a centre vent, but I tend to think not. I will look for that on the weekend as well. Well let you know.

Thanks guys. The centre vent is not critical. I've managed to bodge it back together so it sort-of works. Not that it's going to get used in winter anyway. But if one is available I'll grab it.

I've got two weeks off soon and the wife and kids will be away visiting her parents. I'm planning to do a few jobs on the cars that keep getting put off. 🙂
