Underbody lightings legal?

Hi Everyone. My lil beetle is just about ready to go for lappys.Just wondering if anyone has ever installed under body lights under the side running boards.I was was told neons are illegal in Australia.not sure how true that is. Thanks

Here is a closup photo of how I fitted the flouro to the inside of the engine compartment. I have had it there for best part of 5 years I reckon, so it seems to last OK.

Talking of LEDs hooked up to the brake lights, I have an LED brake light in the rear scoop. Turns out it is a very similar shape to the ones on the New Beetles. Also a bit less chance of someone running up the back of me when stopping.

Where did you get that led break light Jeff, I tried jaycar but they said that tghey don't have them, surprised me.

Never mind jeff. I think spoilers, carbon fibre, airbags. stupidly lowering, abnoxious stereos, chequerplate, things hanging from mirrors, excessive chrome, super low profile tyres, loud exhausts, stickers (unless the supplier is paying you to be their advertiser) are all shitty ricer things too. Its all about the subjective point on where to draw the line. Everyone else is just a hypocrite.

Maybe some people think doing these things are going overboard but on your beetle i think its very nice looking but at the same time very cool aswell , i love the lights make it look that extra bit meaner along with the grunt of that 1916cc motor in tha back. When ever i see your beetle or even just hear it , it puts a smile on my face every time.
