Did any early style Beetles come with a washer switch. Im chasing a switch that looks like the Headlight and hazard switches so I can use it as a washer switch on a 73 Beetle.
Also, what sort of washer bottle have you guys been using?
Thanks Trev
I am no beetle expert but I am thinking they had just a pressure valve in the form of a button like you describe.

most people just put a push button on the dash
or if you wanna get fancy do what i did and fit a micro switch to the wiper switch in place of the air valve so it works like stock by pulling the wiper lever towards you
Although after all that effort the replacement wiper switch i bought last year already had an electric washer contact switch in it
The pre sixty one bugs had a wiper switch like you want,or after that they had the bellows to suck the water up and a valve to divert it to the nozzle.
my late square had an electric washer pump n bottle and the wiper switch arm was just like most other cars. Pull back on it and it switched on the washer.
Got this type 3 and its got this stupid air pressure bottle thing? haha thats what happen when you have gone through 4 type 3s all being 72-73 😂 been spoiled.

that would be a replacement switch Vlad, they never came with electric ones standard
my new switch had the same thing
are you sure!? the wiper stork is a switch on 72-73 type 3s

yep bugs, type3 and KG all had the same switch gear
the new ones are designed for electric washers and have the intermittent wiper provision
ok so they are a replacement? so can those wiper storks be fitted to the models that didn't have them?
