howdy, my prob is, rear needs raising.i paid to have it lowered they put it right onto the bumpstops no suspension at all. so i removed one side, i marked it first, the springplate/torsion bar had no tension at all, and jus fell out from the inner still connected to the outer. even tho i marked it ,its still not a reference as how much to move inner or outer. hope someone understands this and can offer some advice. thanks greg

Where do you want it to end up? Obviously noy on the stops, but....can you be more specific?

all you need is a level and protractor or a digital level then rip it all apart and start from scratch ,just make sure its level on the heater channels as thats the reference point,do you have a workshop manual as a guide to correct reassembly?
Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

You don't even need it level on the heater channels (so long as it is resonably level side to side) as long as you can do the maths between the angle the heater channel is out of level and the angle you are setting the swing arm at. Of course, the maths is easier if the heater channels are level, but if it is too hard to get them level, you can easily calculate it.

Hi Greg,
the heater channel is the sill below the door.
It is a point of reference that can give you the level point to set you protractor/level.

I always change the angle of the spring plate 1 degree for every 1/4" that want the height to change.

So, measure the angle you started with,
if you want it higher by, say 1", you will want 4 degrees more angle.(2" would be 8 degrees)
Adjust the inner and outer splines on your tortion bar/spring plate till you get the angle yu want,
and then make the other side the same.
I usually make the drivers side about 1/4" higher(1 degree) to account for my weight.

You may have to go back and adjust each side a little more when everything settles.
