Just search for 'safety wire' in Google or similar and you'll get more information than you can eat. In summary, you can drill the sump plug yourself, then wire it to and convenient point and twist it up tight. Often used on aircraft, as the consequences of the propeller falling off are kind of terminal.donn wrote:You can bet thats gunna happen Peter, where does the wire go to, another bolt?, I have already designed a plate to fit around the sump plug which I was going to fit to another bolt in the round plate that the sump plug is fitted to but sounds like I may be reinventing the wheel.
