Found this article on the 356, which was interesting, and of course you can't talk about the 356 without talking about the Beetle.

Some of the photos are great, especially of the wooden buck that the coachbuilders used.

I did laugh at the fact that they think they are still quite affordable!!! Not for me they ain't.
