i like my cars to be so low that they snort the white lines off the road..... :P who is for and who is against?

For!
Those white lines can be pricey though.

LOOOOW! ... I cant begin to tell you how pleased it makes me to hear you say that, what with you taking delivery of my bug in a couple of weeks and all 🙂 Glad we're on the same page.
No i'm not repainting it.
I got the number plates LOWBUS cause i have to dodge those white lines!!!
low enough to drive everyday through brisbane and surrounding areas, on highways with potholes, through shopping centres with speedbumps and with no scrubbing... + superbeetlesforthewin. 🙂

Got the number plates 1 10 BUS and as low as bus is now gets me everywhere I need to go. Was lower a few year ago but I got sick of scraping front bumper, destroying front number plates, hitting steering box on the ground as well as scraping bottom of fan housing so I lifted it up a tad. Also after a serious back injury I tend to like the ride a little more comfy now....

I like to watch the faces of innocent bystanders as the razor grinds on every little change in angle,
speed bumps, driveways, road reflectors !!!!!!
After 1 day of grimacing every time it did this, i now think its funny !!!!
Step up to get out !!!
I'm an inbetweener, I like lowish but sensible low
Really low cars do look good, hell that blue and white KG at valla on 17" radars was pr0n but they ride like crap and really.... are dangerous, the 100mm clearance rule is there for a reason
some people have probably seen the splitty on the samba a few years back that he claims is the lowest non bagged bus in the US after he hit a manhole cover which pile-drived the front end up into the body, driver ended up with injuries out of it too.
most of the lowered cars i saw around valla would not survive the roads around here.
The Front end of mine is wheel standing in the shed atm while i fix some damage caused from being too low
I have much more fun with my cars jacked up.......
When I was at Tafe, my 74 kombi was the fastest car in the carpark..... I would beat every car in the carpark at the end of the day...... all those V8's & turbo cars couldnt beat me out to the main road.
I'd hit the speed bumps full noise in third gear and sail straight over them.... 😀

car forums. where a lot of peoples good intentions end up taking a good old car off the road forever never ever to see the road again. 🥲
yeah i'm with Joel and Ian..........no point going too low if you can't jump in and drive the thing.
i need mine at standard height in the rear to keep the sump plug off the ground........then the front needs to be similar height so it handles.....

Ditto
That said - for a cruizer that LHD single cab split was awsome! Same with the KG
A daily driver though

Futue te ipsum!!!
Yeah too low is useless its the very low guys that made the government come down on everyone ,the minority spoil it for the majority.
LOW!
go kart style! 👍 👍
Low 🙂 I think that sensibility is important on choosing how low a car should be...
I just choose to ignor my brain

bit lower than stock and about an inch lower at the front compared to the back for aerodynamic reasons.
veedubs have a very flat floor to take advantage of aero effects.
71 notchback,

100mm off the ground is good enough for me.
Though I do love a mega slammed Ghia
I'll go with sensible low. Not so low you have to crab up driveways and speed bumps, but low enough so you don't have big gaps between the top of your tyres and the lips of the guards. It mught be a contradiction in terms, but for me this is sensible and sexy.
my car was that low a few years ago the sump plug got pulled out after hitting the ground on the highway. Once the current engine comes out it will be back to low and slow
BEING ASPIRATED FEELS GREAT BUT BEING BLOWN TAKES THING TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL....

I love my cars low and my women even lower.....
😂...
But please dont tell my wife what I have been saying....
😍
if it looks like crap smells like crap then guess what!!!!!
Raised!!
They have to be lifted!!
How else do you get on the beach?

If you said I was a Volkswagen man, you'd be right.
Low is an awesome look, but out here the roads dictate a minimum sensible height to avoid big damage! I was in a convoy up to Valla with the slammed blue & white KG - looked fantastic cruising and whilst he had to take it very easy entering fuel station driveways and the like, he didn't seem to be having too many problems. So I guess like some have already said, my vote is for sensible low - especially if its on a daily driver and not a trailered track day toy.
lifted!
I've had lowered cars. They don't agree with me. The undercarriage is enough to turn the strongest stomachs.
Even got the fairlane at its stock height (to be fair it is a sportsman) bogged to the body a few months ago nest to the murray.
Lowered looks nice, but it's not for me.

My old 351 Fairlane used to get beached on speed humps, was either take a run up, or crab them, Hoists.... Not without a lot of planks of timber for that monster... The driveshaft used to rub on the body with more than just the driver in it....
I love a slammed car! I'd love to panscrape mine, but just cant with the amount of k's it does.
Next doors landlord was in the driveway when i got home one day last week, of course, the dub scrapes hardcore going into and out of my driveway, so Ive pulled in, front number plate has scraped and the landlord and whoever he was with has turned around so quick, then the arse end has crunched big time, the look on their face was priceless... I love it!

Any car so nice you can't drive it in the rain.. is too damn nice to enjoy
I Think it depends on the Car and the look. I Think its best to have air ride at least in the back so your ass aint dragin on the ground all the time but you can still have it real low for shows or parked in the street and have the front at a reasonable low height.
