What experiences have people had with Cp1? online it looks like they have a few bits that are fairly cheap compared to local prices. Not sure on freight costs yet.

I would be interested to hear other people experiences.

I have bought bucket loads of parts from them and never had a problem. They even once shipped me the wrong part and, when I let them know, they sent the correct one and let me keep the wrong one as it wasn't worth the cost to ship it back to them.

Shipping can be quite expensive but I have found it to be still a lot cheaper than buying locally and MUCH easier than shopping here as everything is priced and has a photo with a good description as well as stock levels. It even arrives here quicker than stuff I have ordered from Sydney with a huge range to choose from.

Have ordered a few things from CIP1 in the past that couldn't get locally, and never had a prob.

My recommended O/S supplier would be vwparts.net... EXCELLENT customer service, usually the best pricing on things, and they offer some more affordable shipping options.

That said, always check the local guys out... whether it's Micks, Vintage or whoever they're usually pretty competitive on the common parts, and often will price match where possible to get your business.

I got a box from them last month, ordered Sunday, they shipped tues( our time) and it came on the Friday. I was stoked.
Shipping was 60$us. The total worked out much cheeper than buying here.

all good experiences so far for me...just watch your total order value including the freight cost so you don't attract customs excise and GST. I think $1000AUD is the threshold.

Good, fast shipping, cheap, but check origin of parts carefully.. some stuff I ordered said it was European but they weren't... not worth shipping them back for return. They're packaging of panels wasn't too great either.

CIP1 have great prices...
and their products are usually great too...
most of their rubber bits are made in the USA...
unless they are specified made in brasil etc...

their freight is very expensive.... [todays prices 4 years ago]?

aircooled.net in the USA also are great...
and air freight is expensive...
so, make sure You buy some cheap [lightweight] items
like oil change gasket kits etc.. to make it worthwhile...

BFY has gone bust... along with many VW owners money..

Just add it to the cart and go to the checkout and it will tell you exactly.

YES

You can add all Your items into the basket..

and it will tell You the cost of freight before You pay

so You will know exactly how much it will cost...

You can then add or take things out of Your basket..

and the freight charges will go up or down according to weight
