Evening all,
My brother in Darwin has had sitting in his workshop a VW 1400 single port 10kva generator of ex military use. It has a Vertex Magneto on it and I was wondering if it would be any use on my daughter's '69 Beetle?

Fixer upperer of daughter's '69 Bug "Oscar"

Do you mean a 1600 singleport motor? as my ex army 10kva has the 1600 singleport with magneto. I have herd of the magnetos beeing used in cars.

Industrial magneto are set to a maximum of 3300rpm and need to be recalibrated for road use cheers steve
