I'm thinking of buying the Weber 'update kit' for my 44idf's on the Ragtop....has anyone else used this kit ?

http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=508

I'm just wanting to know if it was a worthwhile update or just a waste of time.

Cheers

I think "Sides" Dave Sidery, has used or tried these in the past and might have a kit to sell.

Yeah, I tied it on the previous incarnation of my engine... 1915, round ports, 42x37.5, CR 8.95:1

It helped free up the top end a bit, but that was likely more the larger vents than the horizontal spray bars.

Found getting the jetting right a bit tricky, but got it eventually... admittedly that was using my innovate box rather than a dyno tho.

Never tried it on the current engine...just the standard style 38mm vents.
