The other day while driving my bug the speedo started sticking, all i do is tap the speedo and it works again. I also note that the speedo isn't smooth.

I am assuming the problem is a worn gear?

Can the speedo be totally overhauled easily or do I need to send it away if so who in Sydney repairs them?

Other thing it could be is a worn cable - binding in the bends or at the wheel backing.
What my garage isn't messy........Well chaos is a form of order isn't it?
