Hey guys, I've got a '76 beetle with a fairly standard 1600tp except for a slightly bigger single webber carb.
Recently I've had the problem that the car won't idle. The car runs fine when I'm driving it- however in traffic I have to keep my foot on the accelerator or keep it revving so the car doesn't stall. If it does stall it starts fine, but then just stalls.

Any ideas?!

Try the simple things first. Are all the screws holding the top on the carb tight? Found this out on a Cortina years ago. Tightened the screws and all was well. Worth a try
Cheers
