Howdy
I have just got myself some 5/130 VW disc and drum
These seem to have thread all ready in them
can you still press studs in through the thread or can you get ones that screw in ????
I dont want to use the VW style wheel stud nuts
And what size do you use for Porsche rims

Cheers
Richard

I have the screw in one's, have had no problem's with them, just loctite them in when you assemble them, i think they are 14mm x 1/2" unf, depends on the wheels that you want to run

You should be able to buy them from any vw parts place or a wheel shop, i got mine from quick fit tyres when they were open but all wheel shops have access to them, you will have to get the correct nut to suit the wheels

Hi, I have redrilled and tapped all my holes to M14x1.5. If they are a metric size they will not have an imperial thread. The 4 stud are M14x1.5 and you can buy studs to screw in. They need an allen key to screw them in. If it is a 5 stud pattern then they wil be M12x1.5.

Any decent wheel shop will have a book listing all the studs that they can get, i used the studs with the 14MM X1.5 MM X 1/2' unf as these are the most common with a good selection of wheel nuts at a resonable cost.

I had the Porsche alloy nuts on my wheels, found out they had the wrong seating face for the rims (they were a radius instead of a straight taper which my rims needed) went looking to find the correct nuts and found that the wheel nuts off my holden Crewman fitted perfectly. Maybe that info will be of some help

I used screw in studs from Classic

I made my own nuts because I wanted to keep the VW dome type fitting and not a tapered nut.
