Hi guys, new to the forum (and vw's) but you've probably seen the car around before. Ben has done a great job improving her and she just completed the journey from Sydney back to the Latrobe Valley, Victoria without missing a beat! Short term plans are to put her through a VIC road worthy, re-register and enjoy all of his hard work! Following that, I intend to continue on from where Ben left off and attend to the tired, noisy old split case transmission and tidy up the 6V wiring or possibly even a 12V conversion. I'm sure after owning her a while and spending some more time reading about the awesome cars I have already seen here on AVD, that list will grow!

Cheers

Yes really like that car glad you made it home safely. I think converting the bug to 12 volts is the way to go but only my opinion. Look forward to seeing more of your progress and welcome to the forum

Thanks Paul, very excited about it-still can't believe it's mine! Rosie is looking awesome too, I've been looking on this site for a while now well I was in the market to buy and yours is always a great thread to read, always improving her which is an inspiration to do things to my new toy!
