Ok... I'm putting new Pads on the beetle but I'm having a lot of trouble getting them onto the disc. It almost seems like the pads are to thick. Can anyone help with this ?

You need to push the calliper pistons back into the calliper to allow room for the new pads.

You can buy a tool to do this however I usually use a 'G' clamp to force the pistons back in.

front pads .??? you change one pad at a time, to push the piston back, lift one pad half way out and get some multi grips and use the pad and lever the piston in , them put new pad in and repeat. 😊

car forums. where a lot of peoples good intentions end up taking a good old car off the road forever never ever to see the road again. 🥲

Sometimes you need to take the caliper off (only 2 bolts) to push the pistons in (stubborn bastards).

This is when I use a largish G clamp, with the caliper off the disk you've got enough room to use the clamp to force the piston in.
