Looks like a '67 and previous Standard dash that is an abomination, yet it looks like a '68+ exterior with the fuel filler lid on the driver's side. The front boot lid release on the driver's side looks to be a '67 and previous.

Definitely a frankenstein car.
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is!

A '69 body, on a '64 floorpan?

Who knows?! 🙂

look closer some clues are still there.

Its a 64 or 65 aussie standard pov pak and still on an early pan.

It's just had a lot of late parts fitted.
Was common in the 70s and 80s to make them look newer, usually to fit Carrera kits

Yes, It looks like its a 1964 standard beetle with late guards and bumpers added..
also has wipers on the column and wipers park on the Left..

and a late engine cover..

also.... something You don't see very often..

the fuel flap on the RHS.... so... it has a different fuel tank...??

69 beetles had a locking fuel flap... and it is.

They've obviously used a 72 1300 beetle for parts.

The engine, decklid, steering column, front seatbelts, wiper motor and arms, door grab handles etc are all from a 72 1300 bug.
72 Was the last year of the cable release fuel flap as well.

You'd never pick I've owned a couple of them 😂
