Just saw this today....

http://aldi.com.au/au/html/offers/2827_18691.htm

Aldi has these for just $69.

Now obviously, they are not the best you can buy, but for the occasion go at the drags, track day at wakefield or khanacross, they'd be a great cheap way of getting started in motorsport without having to outlay hundreds of dollars.

Pete's might be!!!!🤓 I bought a Biffe' helmet for my son of ebay NEW for $50 delivered.....it was "last years" model, hence the price! Woteva you by just make sure it complies to the Aust. standards and that the relevent labels are on it...which the Aldi ones have,so they cant be that bad..

I've seen Pete's head, I think $69 might be a bit over priced. 🥷

Probably fine for those who just want to give their street car a blat down the 1/8th. Motorbike riding I'd think twice, you have to spend about 300plus from memory to get something thats fibreglass and not polycarb. I would be investing in fireproof gear before expensive helmets in a drag car, thats what I've seen most serious injuries come from. Neck brace would be a smart move as well.

Converse to the cheap head cheap helmet argument, if I go out and spend $1000 on a snell rated simpson etc does that imply my head is only worth a grand???🤪

There's something not right about buying a helmet from Aldi.

Everything I've bought from Aldi so far has been excellent for the price. Pushbike wear, bikes, snow gear, guitar pedals.

It has the right stickers and it's not like you are exposed on a bike. For $69, it's a lot better than nothing.
