Although, a little worried about the dates. Does anyone know when the festival starts and finishes?
Really hoping it doesn't clash with my Europe trip!
Who's going anyway? VW meet before hand or we could very well do something?
I went last year, granted, not in my Kombi. There is not a large VW following down there more 6+ cylinder stuff with forced injection.
Probably max 10 VWs.
Note: i wore my VW t-shirts with pride!
Yeah, I won't be entering my bug into it, I'm more into just going for a drive and waiting for someones diff to blow!
I'll be wearing my beetle shirt with pride too, but am hoping there are a few VW enthusiasts heading that way.
Might be able to meet a few, that's all 🙂

I saw a young girl bailed up inside her partners car by a pack of,lets say,young middle eastern men yelling out things like "show us ya tits".
She was scared for her life,whilst her partner had these yobbos leaning in his car and trying to open the doors.
Ben, I think you'll find that summernats is one of those "my car is bigger and has a bigger engine than yours" events. Too much testosterone in the air and not really a family environment.
However i went down with a group of 10 that included 4 females and no one said one thing to them.
More HP than brain cells it seems.
Yeah, hence why I wouldn't take anyone with me besides my 6 foot 7 Uncle 😉
It definitely isn't a family place, it's full of over loaded testosterone blokes that are all comparing engine, car and dick sizes.

Unfortunatley,the wankers are not participants ,but are spectators usually.
My son and I were at Summernats, spotted a few vw's,
the guys & gals in the kombi were cutting laps all day and enjoying themselves, I only caught the tail end off one tuff bug, not a member from in here?
