Hi guys.
Long shot here, I'm after a set of 16" wide five beetle rims for a '49 i'm in the process of buying. If anyone has a set or knows of a set that may be available for sale please let me know.

Be prepared to spend big $$s Mate. I forked out more than $2k for a set that needs resto and rerolling
Marc Banks in Melbourne had 2 or 3 sets couple of years ago. I don't know if he has any left nor if he's willing to part with them anyway

Yeah didn't expect them to be cheap but 2k+ has me nervous. Thanks for the heads up though.

Thanks guys, those 17's look great but don't want to narrow the beam.

Not strictly correct but many vehicles in the 40's and 50's had skinny 16inch wheels, Ford comes to mind, you can then have the outers spun off and weld in inners from 15inch early rims.

Circle Track Wheels in Seven Hills in Sydney may be able to do the job or offer a solution. 02 9674 5651.

You get the 16s in the end.

Andrew Dodd did have soeme at some stage, his workshop number is 02 9683 2184

Cheers,

David
