Anyone go to the Rat day at Taren Point yesterday.
I was told there was some nice Kombis and Beetles.
Anyone have any photos?

Thanks for the photos Ben.
Looks like it was a nice day.
Very good turn up of VWs for an all-make car show.
Well done to those who flew the Wolfsburg flag.😎

Here is a descrption from http://oldeskool.org/thermador-swamp-cooler.html

Thermador Swamp Coolers

You can't be olde skool without an original thermador car cooler.

Basically its air-conditioning that uses no energy. Inside the big gray tube is a blanket with a string attached that hangs in the passenger window. You fill the tube up with water before you start driving, then every so often you pull the cord. It rotates the blanket inside and dips it in the water. Then air comes through the tube, it becomes cool by going through the wet blanket and finally goes into your car. Obviously it doesn't work in high humidity or when you're at a stoplight.

Where can you get opening windscreens for Beetles, as in the last picture. Was this a custom made one-off?
