Portland Cancelled

I have just heard that Portland 2012 has been cancelled, Bit of a bugger, but I don't blame Craig for pulling the pin as we have struggled to get the numbers down here. I just don't understand, Andrew and I have tried everything to get some interest down here, surely any Volkswagen event is a good thing even if your not into racing, but if cruising and car shows are all they want down here then so be it, the Loco Gringos will go where ever Craig decides to go. i heard it from the portland guys that help craig, so i think that it is a pretty reliable source

Get the POS on a back load it will be cheaper and probs quicker too

Yeah cheaper that way, exy coming back.... Might have to see what the costs would be round trip.... Last time I raced a car in NSW was at Oran Park back in 94 (for the Nats)..... And yes I drove from Perth and back again that time.... Picked up B4 in his black Oval and AB in Adelaide on the way through..... It was a month off work, round trip.... Good times, good times... Might be time to revisit those halcyon days...👍👍

well craig made an announcement at warwick about giving portland a rest for a while and there will now be a huge event in sydney in its place in february. Maybe craig will get on here at some point and fill everyone in on the details.... I think he has had his hands full with warwick lately.

I'm sure Craig will post a fresh thread (about the new event) when the time is right and everything is sorted out.... No point jumping onto a thread that is little more than hearsay... It will just confuse the matter....
