Hey guys here's my earlier post to fill you in on what happened....http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=92588

A week after that happened the car show was on and I had already paid for it and thought what the hell and put her on display. Turns out you can still win an award with a damaged panel haha!! Best Euro 2011 and threw it on the dyno for a bit of a laugh. managed just shy of 40hp which I was still happy about. here are some pics...

Good story, good judging, good result!

I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

Thanks guys 🙂
Car goes in for repairs on Tuesday 😢 hopefully they won't take too long (6 working days they reckon). Still haven't tracked down the guy that caused the damage I'm afraid. looks like it's coming out of my wallet 😬

haha Yeah Cairns is really heating up now!!

Got the car back today. Looks back to normal which is great. No problems matching the paint either which I was a bit worried about
