With great sadness I must sell my beloved early bay devon ragtop. I bought this kombi a little over 2 years ago from a good mate and over this time I've had the bus restored by two panel shops. The first did most of the metal work however then had to move intetstate so it was then shifted to 'mini pro' in Northgate, a mini specialist (obviously) but also a restorer of all classics.
I've spent a small fortune on this bus and it shows, its very nice if you get to see it in the metal. The pics sadly don't do it justice. I have a whole heap of before photos so you know nothing is hiding.
Everything is there ready to go back together, new genuine vw parts only, full set of seals, heaps of bits and bobs, too much to list. From the bus stop and JK. Mechanicals are good , 1600 tp mated to a 2l box, great combo.
All glass there including pop put 1/4 vents for front windows.
Roof has been professionally reinforced with angled steel in preparation for the ragtop ( ragtop comes with full DIY instructions with all hardware supplied.
Recently painted in an awesome mist green/lime green with white upper.
This kombi being the best quality fully imported German bus has the rare factory bellypans that were fitted to stop the corrosion of the underside of the van from the salt roads in Europe. So you know the underside will be as dry as a bone.
I will be moving to Vic in the coming months so really need the cash to start-up in a new career and to purchase a reliable daily, so would consider trades to equal value. To be honest I've run dry of funds and more importantly the interest and motivation to complete ( I'm sure the bug will come back , like always. So if it doesn't sell ill park it up and finish later) this van will only appreciate being a fully imported german microbus.
I would say that if you spent a solid week on it re-assembling you should have it ready for rego.
Now for the $$ I've spent around the 19-20k mark getting it to where it is today so would like to get somewhere near there. Im realistic though and I realise you never make money on cars so I'm happy to talk $ with genuine buyers.
Bus will be ready in a about a weeks time, getting final cut and polish on new paint
