Condition:
Motor will start fine, idle and rev fine through nuetral ok but under heavy load(over half throttle) while driving will cough and splutter and feels like it wants to stall.

Iam located in redhead.

Do you have a 009 distributor? (No vacuum advance)

Is your carburettor a 34 pict 3? (written on side)

Generally a hesitation could be ignition timing, running lean under load or if vacuum advance distributor used, could be dodgey vac line. Could even be an accelerator pump.

vw-resource.com has some good tech data.
