Hi JasonFROSTY wrote:Hi There, just in the final stages of getting the drag car finished and I need to shorten the/a clutch cable. The peddles are now about 70mm back from where they would normally be. I have a bit of a tube over the end ( temporary) till I can sort it.

You can buy cable shorteners ??
hard to explain what they are..
made from a flat piece of steel bent over at each end to put the cable into, and in the centre, is a threaded piece with a thumb wheel..
You turn the thumb wheel and the threaded piece moves onto the cable and pushes it upwards.. to shorten the cable..
they are really made for adjustment and not sure it would go 70mms?
maybe there are different sizes, but it IS extra weight for your drag car..
the quick way which I have seen, is cut the cable and put them side by side for about 100mm and use wire clamps to tie them together..
just get the correct clamps for your wire.. they work good..
but are again extra weight.. lol but they are cheap and good to adjust your clutch / pedal etc..
