This is sound advice!thatshimofficer wrote:Absolute waste of time... Forget the White edition... Forget Go Pro completely TBH. I use a range of POV camera's regularly, and the best I have been using lately is the REPLAY XD1080/XD720. You get what you pay for, the Replay stuff is great, all Billet, bulletproof, and bulk spares are available. Factor in mounts to your purchase price, I recommend RAM mounts, Go pro comes with no mounts at all these days, countour gets a few sticky mounts, and replay gets a reasonable sticky setup, but you will always resort to buying more mounts. A hardwire kit is available for cars/bikes, and removes the chance that the camera will go flat at the wrong time, and is setup to start recording when the vehicle starts, and switch off when its turned off, removes the hassle of starting/stopping and the chance of forgetting to do it. The replay doesn't distort like the go pro does either.
The contour isn't a bad unit, the GPS is a neat novelty, but I don't use it a great deal. The switch/button setup on the Contour isn't too shabby and is easier to start than the gopro/replay. But I would recommend the Replay
