Great video Nick - I think it may have been asked before, but what rpm are you launching and shifting at?
And is it just the camera moving around or did it get a little squirrelly once you hit 4th gear (couldn't tell for sure from the incar footage)?

Are you still driving the car on the street much, or has it become too much of a handful to drive in traffic?
One of the dumbest things i ever did was try and drive my 2332 turbo down the esplanade on its maiden drive out. Brand new 4 puck clutch still not bedded in and wouldn't you guess it, i end up being followed by the police. Its was pretty tricky to get rolling without spinning the wheels. Stalled the car once too trying to take off too careully with too low rpm.

My entry has been confirmed ,and there are only 2 VW's on the entrant list to date . Mine and Morgan Smith from Bulli .
Who else is going to come along and have some fun . Remember the ET bracket is dial-your-own time racing so that you don't have to have a rocket ship . Even the slowest car can still win............hmm, maybe I should get out the twin-cab again...........

that is such a compiment coming from some one that is so high on my list of respected people.
The reality is that I am more of a tinkerer,
than any sort of a good driver.
For me, driving these things is purely a way to get answers and results to never ending questions and experiments.
Thanks again for the offer, but I will be much more of a thrill to watch YOU go down the track.

But seriously.... The Junka has a lovely note.... And the track commentator highlights what must have been an awesome ride....
I have never really seen any footage 'down the barrel' of a drag strip before Nicks few flicks (all have been along side the track) and I have noticed that the cars do seem to move around a lot.... I have done similar speeds (120mph) on the 'flying mile' at GinGin Airport in my old Bug and she sure was moving about!!!!.... Must take a huge amount of skill to keep it on the straight and narrow at those speeds, time and again in the quarter!!!.... Hats off to you Nick.

but like Dave, I like the build up, I would much prefer to have a driver that could drive it well and cut good lights but most importantly let me know what the car is doing. That is why I have the video, to study it afterwards. Maybe just one pass though.

12.30 am Friday morning or Thursday night and I have just put the bottom end back together after a cam change. I have had heaps on at work so this is the first I have had to work on it. I hope to get the heads on before I go home so I can come in install it and get the cam run in.
I hope everything goes my way because I don't think I'll get time to test drive it if I go on Saturday.
