I had to work today at the Richmond Airshow in NSW.

Not a bads day work for me though.

Went to and air show at the Richmond RAAF base yesterday. If they hold this again make sure you get along it was a great day out. Both planes and military vehicles on display.

Managed to snap a few photos in the base and out in the car park area:

It was actually good viewing out in that area. We missed some of the low helicopter flights but everything else flying overhead was right over our path which was pretty good.

Also got two small vids on the digital camera which I have posted also:

Make sure you have your sound up for full effect!

Pity this sort of show isn't on every year.

Where was the schwimmenwagen? and did you get any shots of the BSA behind it??????? Its even got the Volkes air filter! (the BSA that is)

so I guess there was a military vehicle demonstration/stand somewhere there then. I got to hear and watch the pigs do their funky thing all last week and the week before and the week before......

Yes was an unreal day. I am not that into planes but man it was impressive. And I must say in true miltary fashion it was run so well. Even leaving to catch a train was quick. The military should help state rail get their timetables in order.

The Schwimmer and other assorted vehicles were round the side near the entrance where the buses dropped people off from the station (the northern entrance I think?).

I haven't been to an air show for many years and was very impressed. I reckon the louder the plane the better :thumb:thumb

Hey Penguin,

Thakns for the mass amount of emails mate.
I never knew that part of outlook was there.

I forgot to mention that i was also in the lead black hawk on the saturday demo.
My cousin is the loadmaster and scored me a seat on his chopper.

With those type of connections, next time you can look for the Kombi in the carpqack and hover overhead so I can get some real close up shot too 🙂
