Just wanted to know ballpark figures of HP to expect from a 1916 and a 2300 stroker? I know it depends on a whole lot but I just want an idea assuming a balanced everything, a twin IDF setup, 40x37.5 valves and a mild cam. Preferably want to hear from someone who put their engine on a dyno
Thanks
Raf

But your 1916 produced more HP than your 1998 stroker.

127hp for your 1916
115hp for your 1998

Or is this not the case?

Craig,

Do you think that if you had a 1916 making 100HP and replaced the 69mm crank with a 73mm crank and increased the ccs on the head to keep the compression the same then put the thing back together with no other changes that it would make less HP?

If so what would you attribute that to?

BTW I could only find 1 7 inch cookie. I must've ate the other one. But I do know a guy who has 4 that you could have for $50 each. U2U me if you're interested and I'll pass on his phone number.

Yeah Jak's comparison is pretty good. It shows the horspower per cc says pretty much the same.

2275cc / 1880cc = 121%

108.8HP / 90.4HP = 120%

The comparison would be more interesting with some bigger heads than the mildly ported 40 x 3? 040s.
