Hey guys, just filled up my tank and when I restarted the engine gave a small pop and now has a wheeze. I managed to drive home with little power. Any ideas what I could be looking for. I intend to check under the valve covers and see what I find. Hopefully nothing too expensive. Engine has been running fine.

If it is making a "chuff" sound, it could have spat out a sparkplug. Check if any of the leads have plugs attached that aren't in the engine head. Happened to me once and a helicoil fixed the problem.

you have an electrical problem....
Thanks Notch. All plugs ok but equalizer pipe was off on rhs. Car started and idled ok. I'm releived. What would cause that?

Some things can come loose with age. If you do home services, best to check anything that is bolted on for wear etc.👍
