Yeah... I am just about resigned to having a crack at making some widened steelies for myself. CSP have what I want - but they would not sort out freight for me. Told me to find a freight company for myself... Which is a bit pants. I might have to track down some decent early guards as "prototypes" before I start cutting my current ones up.🥲

There is someone in Adelaide making moulds for 2" wider early rears 2" wider oval fronts and standard oval fronts at the moment.
I have leant him my mint set of 54 fronts to make the mould from. Should be around 150 per guard. U2U me if interested and I will send you his number. They should be really good and the 2" rear will have the perfect shape as I am being really fussy with the prototype as we are trial fitting them on my oval.

C'mon kids gather round,
there's a new sensation hitting town,
It's moving straight, low to the ground,
it'll pick you up when your feeling down.

Sorry kids,

They were put on the back burner when one of the mould halves did not release properly, and I had to get my car back on the road so I just put the ugly aeros back on.

One mould is ready although the other will need the bad half hand ground and then filled and re gelcoated.

Ill pull it down this week and re inspect the damage....it really put me off after all the initial time spent.

Matt,

Good to hear from you again mate. Hope you healed up well.
I'll wait for your results - no huge rush. I know what you mean about the moulds. I have done a little playing around moulding stuff and yeah it can be a real put-off when things don't work out, considering how fecking messy it is to work with this sort of stuff.

Cheers mate.
