Carb Problem?

We have a 1600tp with a 34 pict3 and it seems to be ok around town but if is on a run at 80k it loses power and dies.If i start it back up it will not rev(just splutters and stops).It i leave it for a while it will go ok but only for a few hundred metres and does it again.i will start by changing the fuel filter.Thanks in advance for any help.

I had that problem recently, tried all sorts of things then the 3rd NRMA bloke to look at it removed the fuel filter, no more probs, have since replaced with a new filter and all's sweet.

I dream of a day when a chicken can cross a road without being asked for it's motive!

checked the filter and found a hole in the hose.changed the filter and hose but it has not fixed the problem. i can at least keep the car running now.
