Well, After My Son bought Me a new doghouse oil cooler and I have had over heating problems I decided to repaint My RED doghouse fan shroud and tinware.. After much soul searching... about what color to choose.... Here it is.... You may not like it.... You may Hate it... but its here to stay.... lol the paint is Killrust EPOXY spray can paint... I painted a black steering wheel and steering shaft cover that ignition sits in.. so far it seems very tough... cheers LEE PS: it would have saved Me about a weeks work of wire brushing the old paint off if i had kept the shroud painted RED... alternator backing plate was yellow is now metallic burgundy... can't have too much yellow... lol lol

I've never seen that engine but have most old Aussie VW magazines .. as they weren't printed at regular intervals
like monthly etc it was just luck finding them.

I did paint My inlet manifold yellow the first time..
but the paint burnt off at the heatriser flanges... lol

I suppose If I had spent money on powder coating, It would still be the same..

Love the farmers feet... lol
