rear quarter pop outs


hey guys
popout rear windows for a 70 bug are there bad and good ones and down falls to them do they leak would love to have them up here in townsville for the kids plus where do you get them from and what pricing are on them last i looked they were around the $500 mark

Don't buy the new repro popouts, they dont fit. Buy OG ones and refurbish them with new rubbers etc.

thanks guys the search continues then ............... thats what i want to here would have hated buying 500 worth of popouts and they dont fit

Hi

I've had them in 3 bugs, love them but they do let noise in and if the wind is blowing the wrong way when the car is stopped you get a chance to check your fuel mixtures.

I find they are great - leave them open on a hot day and it lets the heat out without allowing access to the car.

My kids are spewing that I didn't have them when they were little & used to travel in the car.

I bought a set of repro's for a early beetle and they are a good fit, instead of using the standard welting inside Clarke Rubber has welting with a rubber seal on one side, i used this on my install and it works great as a double seal.
