Beetle or T3

Just wanting to know peoples thoughts on which car would make the better track /hillclimb car. Please excuse my ignorance on this subject as Im new to the volksy scene but am really looking forward to getting started on a project.
I suppose the biggest concern is the cost of getting the car sorted suspension wise and which would be the best handling car out of the two.
For a beetle i was thinking around a 70 model. And as for the T3 i really like the fastback.
Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Hi
All the guys currently racing in the Hillclimb scene have ball joint front and IRS rear Beetles.
I,m the odd man out racing a heavy  Superbug.
The VW Fastback is a little heavier than a Beetle and that i suspect is why it is not as common a platform for a race car.

LOL......your superbug is nearly 30kg lighter than what my 76 hillclimb car was, so its not that heavy  !

Lowace, stick with either a superbug or beetle as they are both a lot lighter than a type 3.

Depending on what class you want to run, the other option would be a turbo subie powered Type 3 and run it as a sports sedan.

Yes Craig:tu:
A turbo subie powered T3 Sports Sedan,
now that would make the class interesting :lol::lol:
