Whats the go price for a new clutch cable and clutch tube?

yest he cables are different for the various years. In beetles u have Oval up to 60 then you have 40 hp to 67 then 1500 then s/Bug and so on.

Cable is $ 28 + GST + Ship

Outer tube is $ 19.00 + GST + ship

Just go to your local VW specialist. I got mine not to long ago for $15. No shipping involved.

Yeah I think I got mine the other day for about 20 bucks, mabey less, mabey more. Was cheaper than i though so I got a carby kit as well. Now I just need the time to put them in.
