installing Pop out back windows on type 3 square

Hey guys. Can anyone give me some guidence on how to install back pop-outs on my 72 type 3 square. I have removed the old glass and rubber. How do you attach the hidges onto the body. Are you supposed to cut slots out for them to fit in or do you have to weld something up. Also Is there suppose to be a rubber that fits in behind the window frame as when I sit the window in place there is a grap remaining.

thanks

Hi, The front of the pop-out glass frame has two metal tags. This slots into holes in the B pillar, but they have a metal lip which sticks out to anchor the frame and usually a donor section is welded in. The hinges screw into the C pillar which has a threaded mounting plate ( but you will need to insert a plate etc). The body window frame has a sealing trim, similar to the inner door material ( a hard tectured plastic) which seals against the outer rubber glass seal.
I would recommend you check-out someones pop-out window set-up to understand better before cutting, Cheers.

I think we've been here before! Have a look at the avw link below on the disussion. This one of course is for a Notch BUT the B pillar needs are the same for a Square. You need a donor B pillar hinge tongue from a pre 72 Square or an up to 63 Notch.
