T3 Lamb dressed as mutton

Hey peeps,
got myself a late fastback and need to replace taillight covers for RWC. was wondering if you can fit the early look taillights on a late body? same with the front.

Heard swapping the late square bumpers for the early round ones is a SOB so guessing it'll be the same story for the lights - how much cutting would be required to get that inlaid look on the rear - so much nicer than the 70s square!

goood luck man... but i think the only way you are gonna do that is to put early guards on as the tail light and indicator holes are bigger on the lates im pretty sure. and i dont think early fenders will fit lates??
might be better off waiting for the right early Type 3 to come your way and sve this one.. IMHO

Sell it and buy an early model car.

Many have put early bumpers on late cars and you can probably replace the front indicators for bullets with a bit of hole filling. Not sure that the wrap arounds will match up. Rear tail light hange is just too hard.

The bumper swap softens the look pretty well.

I still say buy an early one.

Here's one with early bumpers, narrowed front indicators and US spec rear lights. Looks much better than the later look.

I agree too, I think its easier to buy an early T3 than to do faithful early look mods to a later car. All the front panels are different from the windscreen out.
