seat belts
I have a 65 beetle that iam restoring for my daughter and want to put seat belts in it .there is a shoulder mount point and one in the hump in the
middle ,but none near the door as in 3 point seat belt mount . how do i put in 3 point seat belt or did they come with 2 point mounting

There should be one there, have you pulled the seat out and had a good look ? I would be very suprised if it isn't there, check under the sound
proofing.

If it has a 'factory' shoulder mount location/bolt hole (required by law from 1964 in Aus, I think) there should be one under the trim at
the base of the B pillar, Otherwise, you will need to drill a hole and get some reinforcing plates made up. I think they are required to be 50x90mm
and 3mm thick with radiussed corners.... don;t quote me on that! A child restraint fitting station should be able to help

thanks guys but have stripped the car bare to paint floor. there is nothing there .same as the back 2 in the middle 1 at each shoulder .now why would
they do that

Dont the back side go where the seat pivots?
Cant believe there isnt one there.
It is in the base of the B pillar not on the floor. Has it been covered ny the head lining??

Wadd, not on the floor , on the "B" pillar near where the rail that holds the rear seat base mounts on each side.

ok thanks for sticking with me .there is a rear seat swivle mount hole . but there is nothing else ,there is no inside padding left so the view is
unobstructed. looks like i may have to make some for the front
