front beam disassembly
hey
im currently pulling out the front beam out of my 72 kombi to fit adjusters.
everything is clear to pull out the beam but it is sticking to the chassis rails any suggestions?
and so i can knock the torsion bars out of the way to put in the adjusters i need to remove the torsion arms out etc.
can i pull this out as one with the brakes-torsion arms etc???? or do i have to do itr seperately??
and do i need to mark the position of the torsiob arm on the bar?
cheers

Suggestions
Use a pinch bar between the rils and the beam, just leaver it down. If that dont work you can belt it with hammer. They are pain in teh ass.
You will find it much easier to pull the brakes off, then the stubs, then remove the arms followd by the leaves. You only need to do it to one side if
you like. |

They certainly are a pain. Lots of persistence required. Double check that you have removed all linkages and cables that run under or between the
torsion tubes, and don't forget your brake hoses!
